Product Support & Warranty Information

Know what to verify about warranty coverage, technical support, maintenance, spare parts, and escalation before purchasing laboratory equipment.

Understand the details before making a decision

Warranty duration, coverage, exclusions, response times, service locations, spare-parts availability, and support channels must be confirmed for the exact product, seller, and destination. This page is a due-diligence guide, not a warranty promise or statement that a particular service network is available.

01 · Written coverage

Read the warranty scope before ordering

The formal warranty document or contract should define the covered item, start date, duration, remedy, process, and limitations. Marketing descriptions should not replace the governing terms.

  • Warranty provider and responsible service organization
  • Start date: shipment, delivery, installation, acceptance, or another stated event
  • Covered components, labor, travel, and freight responsibilities
  • Exclusions, misuse/consumable limitations, maintenance conditions, and voiding events
02 · Service model

Confirm who can provide support in your region

Technical support may be provided by the manufacturer, seller, local distributor, or contracted service partner. Confirm the responsible party and practical contact route before procurement.

  • Support hours, languages, time zone, and contact channel
  • Remote troubleshooting availability and prerequisites
  • On-site service coverage and any travel or call-out charges
  • Escalation path for unresolved or time-critical issues
03 · Preventive maintenance

Plan routine care and operating continuity

Maintenance requirements and intervals should come from the current instructions for the exact model. Do not assume that maintenance visits, calibration, or consumables are included in the purchase price.

  • Maintenance schedule and required operator tasks
  • Service-only tasks and required training or authorization
  • Calibration, quality-control, and performance-check responsibilities
  • Consumable replacement, cleaning, waste, and decontamination requirements
04 · Parts and consumables

Check long-term supply dependencies

Laboratory continuity can depend on reagents, controls, cuvettes, probes, software licenses, and replacement parts. Confirm the exact compatible items and how they can be ordered.

  • Verified compatible model numbers and ordering references
  • Storage, shelf life, transport, and minimum-order conditions where applicable
  • Spare-parts availability and expected supply lifecycle information
  • Any software, connectivity, or license dependencies
05 · Service or warranty claim

Prepare the information needed for triage

A complete report helps the responsible team distinguish an equipment fault, consumable issue, operating condition, or other cause. Follow safety instructions and do not bypass protective controls.

  • Product/model, serial number, order reference, and installation date
  • Error code, event time, operating conditions, and steps already taken
  • Relevant maintenance, quality-control, and consumable lot records
  • Photos or logs with patient-identifiable data removed
  • Immediate safety or downtime impact and preferred contact method
06 · Downtime planning

Agree on contingency and acceptance

Before implementation, understand how a service interruption will be managed and what evidence is needed before returning an instrument to routine use.

  • Escalation priority and acknowledgement expectations stated in the contract
  • Availability of loan equipment or contingency arrangements, if offered
  • Post-repair verification, calibration, and quality-control requirements
  • Service report, parts replaced, corrective action, and return-to-use authorization
07 · Before purchase

Questions to resolve in the quotation

Ask for a written summary of the support package that applies to the exact model and destination rather than relying on assumptions.

  • Warranty duration, start date, scope, exclusions, and claim process
  • Installation, commissioning, training, and preventive-maintenance scope
  • Regional support responsibility and any service charges
  • Parts, reagents, controls, and consumable supply arrangements
  • Response/escalation terms and any optional service contract

What should be confirmed in writing

Technical capabilities, assay compatibility, performance, regulatory status, manufacturing origin, inspection, availability, delivery, warranty, and service coverage are not universal promises. They depend on the exact product, configuration, destination market, and transaction. Request current, product-specific evidence and check its revision, scope, issuing organization, and applicability before relying on it.

A general website description is not a substitute for the product labeling, instructions for use, validated performance evidence, regulatory authorization, or a written commercial agreement. Do not use an instrument or diagnostic product outside its stated intended purpose and applicable local requirements.

Information that helps us respond

For a focused inquiry, include your country and organization, laboratory type, approximate daily workload, required tests or assays, specimen types, LIS or connectivity requirements, installation environment, target timeline, and any model or product reference you are considering. List the exact documents or commercial details you need. If something is not yet known, mark it as undecided rather than guessing.
