Overview
The Aurevant AV-Connect LIS Gateway is a dedicated bidirectional middleware solution developed by Aurevant Medical to provide reliable, standards-based connectivity between Aurevant clinical chemistry and electrolyte analyzers (AV-Chem 120, AV-Chem 220, AV-Chem 450, AV-ISE Pro 5 and compatible models) and external Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
It supports both HL7 (version 2.x) and ASTM E1381/E1394 protocols over TCP/IP and serial (RS-232) connections, allowing laboratories to download test orders and patient demographics to the analyzer and automatically upload completed results, flags, reaction curves and quality-control data back to the LIS.
The gateway includes an intuitive configuration interface for message mapping, field translation, patient ID validation and custom rule creation. Comprehensive audit logging, connection monitoring and automatic reconnection ensure high availability in 24/7 laboratory environments. The software can run on a dedicated Windows workstation or virtual machine and supports multiple analyzer connections from a single gateway instance.
