Overview

The Aurevant AV-Multi Calibrator Level 1–3 is a lyophilized, human-serum-based multi-analyte calibrator designed for the calibration of a broad range of routine clinical chemistry assays. The set provides three concentration levels (Level 1 – low, Level 2 – mid, Level 3 – high) that span the clinically relevant measuring ranges for more than 25 common analytes, including metabolites, enzymes, lipids, proteins and electrolytes.

The human-matrix formulation closely mimics patient samples, supporting more realistic calibration behavior compared with artificial matrices. After reconstitution with the supplied diluent, the calibrator remains stable for 5 days when stored at 2–8 °C, allowing efficient use across multiple calibration events.

The calibrator is intended for use with Aurevant chemistry reagents on AV-Chem series analyzers and is also suitable for other open-system clinical chemistry instruments after appropriate validation. It supports both multi-point and single-point calibration protocols according to the requirements of each assay.

This product is an original Aurevant Medical calibrator manufactured under controlled conditions and intended for professional laboratory use by trained personnel.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many levels are included?

The set contains three levels: Level 1 (low), Level 2 (mid) and Level 3 (high).

How many analytes does the calibrator cover?

More than 25 routine clinical chemistry analytes are typically assigned. The exact list and values are provided on the value sheet accompanying each lot.

What is the reconstituted stability?

After reconstitution the calibrator remains stable for 5 days when stored at 2–8 °C.

Is the matrix human-based?

Yes. The calibrator is prepared from a human serum matrix to improve commutability with patient samples.

Can it be used for single-point calibration?

Yes. Individual levels can be used for single-point (factor) calibration where the assay method permits, although multi-point calibration is recommended for optimal accuracy on most assays.

Is it compatible with non-Aurevant reagents and analyzers?

It is optimized for Aurevant reagents on AV-Chem analyzers. Use on other systems or with other reagents requires laboratory validation of the assigned values and calibration protocol.

How should the lyophilized material be reconstituted?

Reconstitute each vial with the exact volume of the supplied diluent stated on the label. Mix gently by inversion until fully dissolved and allow the recommended equilibration time before use.
